Installation case of compressed air pipeline in lithium battery energy storage product development industry

Sipu Fluid was commissioned by a lithium battery energy storage product development company in Jiangsu province to install compressed air pipelines in the air compressor room of its factory. The air compressor room mainly uses compressed nitrogen. Our engineers designed the corresponding nitrogen pipeline installation and construction scheme according to the actual situation.

All materials used in this project were custom-produced according to the GB/T4437.1-2015 standard. The project utilized four types of compressed air pipelines: 150 meters of DN80,180 meters of DN40,280 meters of DN25, and 420 meters of DN20. The pipeline fittings included pipe joints, quick-connect adapters, valves, flanges, hoses, equal-diameter tees, and unequal-diameter tees.

Suzhou Sipu Fluid Co., Ltd. leverages a comprehensive hardware infrastructure and an advanced management system, supported by robust technical capabilities and innovation. Our innovative resource integration marketing platform and a dedicated team ensure that we can provide high-quality and efficient services to customers anytime and anywhere. This has earned us widespread recognition from our users for our products and services.

Precautions for compressed air pipeline installation

The main pipe should be a circular loop to ensure that each branch has sufficient flow and stable pressure, and the entire circular main pipe should be inclined at an Angle of about 0.5-1% so that automatic drainage valves can be installed at the lowest point of the pipe to discharge the collected condensate.

The installation of the main pipe should avoid downward bends as far as possible. If it is unavoidable due to the structure of the building, automatic drainage valves can be installed at each low point.

The branch pipe should be led out from the top of the main pipe in a swan neck shape to avoid direct entry of liquid condensate into the branch pipe.

Selection of pipe inner diameter

The selection of the inner diameter of the main pipe should consider two factors: the total length of the pipe and the total amount of compressed air required by the workshop.

As the total length and the total amount of compressed air required by the workshop increase, the inner diameter of the main pipeline also needs to be increased accordingly.

Branch pipes are generally not too long and are commonly used with an inner diameter of 3/4 inch to 1 inch.
